Charles is an experienced Trial lawyer, business advisor, and family law attorney with experience working in the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP.   Charles’ practice focuses primarily on complex business litigation and he is experienced in representing businesses and individuals in energy, healthcare, real estate, retail and manufacturing industries involved in actions for breach of contract, tortious interference, fraud, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty in disputes across the country. Charles has also advised multiple clients concerning compliance with various federal statutes, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (“OSHA”), the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). Specifically, Charles has also advised many local hospitals and doctor groups in various litigation and compliance matters in matters ranging from complex contractual litigation, to regulatory matters, to everyday subpoena compliance and records requests from patients and other third parties.

Outside the office, Charles seeks to serve his community and those in need. Charles was awarded the 2013 Pro Bono Service Award by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL), which recognizes the public service or legal aid performed by a young lawyer who provides outstanding contributions and access to justice to those in need of legal services. He was also recently elected as Secretary of DAYL for 2015 and currently serves on the organization’s Executive Board. (link to press release).
