With a diverse background in both law and life, James approaches civil litigation as a zealous advocate, and compassionate counselor for his clients. In the healthcare law sphere, James joined a team of attorneys representing one of the largest hospital networks in the country. Further, James has experience in a wide variety of personal injury, workplace injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and property damage cases.
James was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. He spent nine years in the US Marine Corps, primarily stationed at MCAS Miramar, California. In addition, he was stationed in multiple states across the country, as well as Okinawa, Japan. After his service ended, James completed his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University and received his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. After a year of practice in California, James made the move to North Texas, an area he had loved since his first visit years earlier.
James joined Hanshaw Kennedy Hafen, LLP, in 2023. When he is not hard at work for his clients, he enjoys weightlifting, woodworking, and spending time with his wife Megan, and his dog Jessie.
