David R. Wortham Jr.
David R. Wortham Jr. is a business litigation attorney who has been advising and representing businesses and individuals in complex legal matters for over a decade.
David represents clients across a wide range of business disputes, with experience handling matters involving breach of contract, business tort claims, and construction disputes. He has successfully guided clients through mediation and pre-suit negotiations when appropriate, while also maintaining a strong litigation practice in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. He brings meaningful trial experience to his practice, having taken numerous cases through trial and resolving many others through strategic negotiation.
A significant portion of David’s practice includes representing healthcare-related businesses. He has advised numerous healthcare clients—including healthcare management companies, physician staffing companies, home health companies, and providers, providing ongoing counsel and litigation support across a variety of matters. His experience includes defending healthcare entities in high-stakes litigation, including False Claims Act case involving allegations related to violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law. His experience also includes issues relating to ownership transitions, operational control, and patient care considerations.
His work in this area reflects a practical, business-focused approach to navigating complex and evolving legal frameworks. Beyond healthcare, David has represented a wide range of businesses, including local businesses and national companies across a myriad of industries, providing both litigation and general counsel support. He also assists clients with corporate law matters such as business formation, contracts, and other transactions.
David is known for his responsive communication style and his ability to tailor legal strategies to the specific goals and circumstances of each client. He focuses on delivering practical, results-oriented guidance rather than relying on one-size-fits-all approaches.
When David is out of the office, he is likely at one of his kids’ countless activities or traveling with his wife and kids to someplace distant and new.
