Anna Wortham
Prior to rejoining Hanshaw Kennedy Hafen, Anna was a partner at an Am Law 125 firm, where her practice focused on complex healthcare and commercial litigation. She has been recognized multiple times by Chambers for her expertise handling healthcare disputes. With over a decade of experience representing physician groups, staffing companies, and several of the largest for-profit healthcare systems in the United States, Anna helps clients navigate the legal and business challenges unique to the healthcare industry while providing practical, strategic counsel.
Anna has experience in all aspects of civil litigation in state court, federal court, and arbitration proceedings, and she regularly handles litigation against some of the largest health insurance companies in the world. Anna has experience advising and representing healthcare clients in matters involving reimbursement and coverage disputes, fraud and abuse allegations, contract disputes, business tort claims, employment issues, and regulatory compliance concerns, as well as other matters arising in the highly regulated healthcare sector. Her work also includes advising clients on matters involving the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and related healthcare laws. Anna has extensive experience in managed care litigation, including litigation involving ERISA, Medicare and Medicaid, state statutory claims, pricing disputes, and other issues.
Known for her thoughtful, business-minded approach, clear communication, and steady guidance during high-pressure legal matters, Anna works closely with clients to navigate challenging disputes efficiently and effectively. Clients value her ability to combine strong litigation experience with practical advice tailored to their specific goals and circumstances.
